SCAM !!! pretending to be child with lost phone wants you to message through whatsapp - I have phoned all my kids they all have their phones! Got this 2 x today

Message saying
"hi mumm/dad I lost my phone!
Can you send me a message on WhatsApp to this number. The number above or go to WhatsApp with this link https://wa.link/cekg7c.

Message was sent to my work phone and my kids don't have my work number so I know its a scam.
Number now blocked

Asking me to save new number..cant spel Mum "mumm" which is not applicable in my case

Scam alert!! apparently a Kid who can't spell mum says this is the new number send a message via Whatsapp. how stupid do these scammers think we all are.

Same scam block number. Can't spell Mum either (mumm)

Got this text and they was pretending to have lost their phones and wanted me to text them via whatsapp

Caller: 0482 080 145

Scam text received saying 'Hi mum, I lost my phone. can u text me back if you have received this message to 0482 080 145" (hyperlinked).

I later received a message from 0482 091 386 saying 'Hi mumm, this is my new number. Can u text me right back if you have seen this message!"

Text message received saying they lost their phone and can only respond to WhatsApp and asking for a message on WhatsApp to this number.
