Caller: Allegedly UNSW SMS claiming to be from the Social Research Centre on behalf of the University of New South Wales, stating they will 'call to see if you can take part in an important phone survey on health and relationships'.
I'm on the do not call list and my number is silent, so this is pretty weird.

Caller: the Social Research Centre on behalf of UNSW I was very skeptical but from investigative googling this appears to be legit - the number is on the list of numbers you may receive an SMS from on the Social Research Centre (subsidiary of Australian National University) webpage https://srcentre.com.au/research-participants#contacted They should really include the website details in the text so people can google it and verify.

Caller: Social Research Centre on behalf of the University of New South Wales This is why they can freely call or message you - "Have you been contacted by us? Our staff may have contacted you as part of a research survey. We are a social research company, exempt from the Australian Do Not Call Register, meaning we may call telephone numbers listed on the Do Not Call Register to conduct opinion polling and standard questionnaire-based research."

Caller: UNSW Research Researcher from UNSW. I asked them where did they get my number from, and they told me it came from https://samplepages.com.au/. I don't remember registering here so I unsubscribed my number from it and told the lady on the phone that I am not interested to participate in their research.
