Sounds scammy to me… I received the below message via SMS/text just the same as others reporting this number. Genuine??? I have no idea but haven’t responded and won’t be! Without clicking on the link I typed the url into my browser to find a webpage that looks legit but I’m not convinced that surveying people about crime on their area by phone call from a call centre just doesn’t sit right with me.
Err on the side of caution to avoid getting caught up something that might be dodgy… ignore, block and delete.

Caller: Scam

Text message from this number informing me I was about to be surveyed by the SR Centre regarding safety and crime in my STATE OR TERRITORY It asked me to opt in or out and tell them my age. It added a link to click. On behalf of the police. If it is genuine, the police and crime studies people should know better. But I would say this is a scam. We did nothing and didn't hear back.
