its panthera finance. they buy debts from other companys at a discount then chase you for the full amount or more. once panthera finance buys your debt its cleared as they payed it for you. and they cannot list a default against you from a debt they bought. so when they ring next answer the call and thank them for paying off your debt and clearing the default. i have them chasing me for utilities that some one put in my name and i did a credit check and all is good and it even shows panthera bought the debts and are no longer listed as a default. they have unlimited phone numbers.

Same thing - rang me at 7.50 am but that number is blocked.
This company is the absolute pits. I dont owe any money anywhere but they are chasing me for my fathers account ( which he paid btw ).
You cant even talk to them, they dont listen and will not provide you with any written evidence of the account, when it is from or what it is for - an Energy bill for a measly $140 allegedly. I have given them my email and postal address but nothing arrives .....
They should be investigated, this is non stop harassment.

I have a bill with Optus but have to pay fortnightly through Panthera Finance. Even though I shouldn’t have needed to pay Optus (they charged me $1,250 for the two weeks I was on a plan with them), I thought I’d pay some. But then I had $300 left and totally forgot, overtime it grew back to $520. So I’ve been paying fortnightly and it’s twice now that they have contacted me about missing payments, when it’s actually the off weeks. Every fortnight I pay and they wanna contact me the weeks in between saying I missed the payment... uhh don’t think so! You bet I messaged them and told them I had paid and that I have proof on bank statements. Thank God I have a 4 more payments and won’t need to deal with them 🙌💯

These people have been calling me for years over a debt a belonging to a woman with the same name as me with an ISP I never used. Once I managed to get one of them to give the year of birth and it was several years off and the suburb where the service was and I never lived anywhere near the place (I don’t think they are supposed to do that) They found my name on my employer’s website where I had a profile for winning an award and humiliated me at my work place with their constant calls. Obviously I couldn’t get aggressive with them with colleagues in ear shot and when I was on another call or at lunch they would bounce to the nearest desk and my colleagues started getting ticked off and making comments that I should pay my bills. When they realised they could get a colleague on the phone I swear they started deliberately calling at lunch. I was admonished by my boss as for bringing my personal problems to work (everyone believed I must have been dodging a bill collector) and because I work in finance it’s actually very serious. I totally understand debt collection but there have to laws that at least demand the collector has done due diligence in checking they have the right person, or identity themselves instead of fishing for personal details before they identify themselves. Unfortunately this is now so prevalent that my colleagues understand I was being harassed but at the time, they nearly cost me my job, which is outrageous if they were hoping to get money from the real woman.

Claiming I still owe a debt to my previous internet provider, which I know I don’t have because I remember the hassle I had cancelling the internet! Had to pay a huge fee to break the internet contract... I’m not gonna forget that anytime soon!

Called them back told them to f*ck off and that my name wasn't Craig, but they still send texts and call me. I asked if they could remove my number from the database and they require my name even though I have nothing to do with them and it wasn't me who gave them my number. Whatever you do, DON'T Give your name to them.

These guys have been harassing me for years over a debt I don’t owe. They call from dozens of different mobile numbers & private numbers. I usually don’t answer, google the number then block. But today I have a severe chest infection (have a week’s wait to get into see a doctor 😡) & Id finally fallen asleep when they called at 7.35am!!! (leaving no msg as usual) so I googled the number, rang back and screamed at them to never call me again.
Is it true any supposed debts they’ve bought are now paid for by them & it’s not on your credit record?! TIA!

After reading these comments I’m glad I didn’t answer. Panthera finance are scum. Ring at all hours of the day or night for a debt I don’t owe. Lowest of low. Another number blocked.
