Answered and a female said something in the background, I couldnt make out what she said but then the call disconnected. Looks like I'll be blocking this number going by the other comments. I did use an insurance comparison online recently, so probably a call from them.

Health Insurance Comparison company and they are relentless. They call multiple times a day it's bordering on harassment!

In late March (this year), I was cruising through Facebook on my phone, during my lunch break. I came across an advert for comparing health insurance providers. I had a look at the add and filled in a few details. Before I had finished looking at the information it gave me ... my phone rang. It was a salesman wanting to sell me a new insurance policy. I did not have time for this and hung up.
Well the phone calls kept coming: 0480 088 918. The phone did not ring but, there was always the message: "You missed a call, but the caller didn't leave a message."
I would try to phone them back, "The mobile you are trying to reach is - not in service."
15 phone calls, text messages etc. later, I finally got on to them.
They are the company COMPARE THE MARKET. I spoke to a representative who, using my mobile phone number was able to access my details. I explained to him how his 0480 088 918 phone number was often "not in service", he said he did not work in the IT department and did not know why the phone did not work. (He was not all that convincing.)
So I requested his real contact phone number and company name.
They are "Compare Club", phone number 1300 743 980.

I requested my mobile phone number and all details be deleted from their system. The representative assured me they would be removed, and I would not receive any more calls.
So, phone the 1300 number, if you want the annoying calls (messages) to stop.

I called back and got a recorded message saying that this was Health Insurance Comparison.

They. hung up as soon as I said hello, I could hear them breathing. What a waste of time for both parties!

I just got a call on this number. No message left, as I read you feedback from you all, I had also filled out a Health Comparison survey on fb. I will be blocking this number now. Thanks for advising from other writers regarding this number.

This number is from a Health Insurance comparison group but they are hopeless. I have spoken to two different people and nearly two months later nothing has been done. All I wanted was the information emailed to me so I could physically make the comparison myself. Never arrived and they keep calling me but never leave a message. If it was truly legit they would leave a message or better still action what they say they will. Don't bother answering. I'll be blocking them

No message left - guess its a Health Insurance Salesperson as detailed in one of the above responses - I also filled in a quick comparison survey recently.
Most discourteous not to even leave a message.

Received a SMS advising i had missed call from this number. Very strange that my mobile did ring in the first place. Another number added to blocked list.
