Also the same Indian guy, very hard to understand offering 50% off for next six months. Had the hide to ring back when I hung up. Saying oh yes I know there are many scams. Heads up Telstra will not ring you.... it's hard enough to actually ring them!

Caller: 'Max" "Max" claimed to be from Telstra, same thing as others here - 50% discount on my bill. Just one thing, I have zero services with Telstra, so I decided to play along, have nothing better to do. "Max" really enjoyed my spelling out my various email addresses, with names like iknowyouarefullofit @ whatever.com. I finally fessed up and told him I knew he wasn't from Telstra and I have no services with them. He didn't seem to mind being caught out, asked me to spell out a few more things for him before he abruptly proposed to me. Honestly.... not sure if that's part of the usual script. Wasn't even deterred when I laughed at him and told him to send a ring first and I'd think about it. Have some fun with with them, I did lol

Caller: Telstra Scam Call 18/03/2023 1753 hours. Indian male in extremely noisy office, from Telstra he claimed and can offer a discount on my bill if I verify my email, I said NO every time he asked and he eventually screamed expletives and hung up. 😂

Caller: 0480 067 691 I answered hello. Indian man said may I please speak with “my nickname” ( I always put a shorted version of my name on competition’s so I know if it’s a scammer) I said no, because you’re a scammer. He hung up immediately 😂

Caller: I don’t know Received call at 6:47pm. Picked call and after saying ‘Hello’ , there was a ‘pause! I asked who do you want to talk with in a ‘stern voice and the caller disconnected! Probably an adult using a younger person or ( child) to imitate the call to still check out if your ‘number is an active one’. Could be a scam!

Caller: I don’t know Picked up the call. Slight pause! Asked who was calling after someone like a ‘child’ spoke but was hard to hear and decipher what was being said. Not sure if this is a ‘scam’ . With so many scams happening right now, there is a possibility that ‘adults’ may be using younger children to call in order to still collect information about people etc etc. This may be a scam call trying to check if your number is an ‘active’ number! Beware!
