Caller: Almas They call you on WhatsApp and pretend to be based in Australia (actually they are Pakistanis) who bought virtual Australian mobile number and offer you to pay your Cellphone, Electricity, Gas, Water, Tv, Insurance, Fines, Tax, Land rates, Invoices, Medical fees, School fees, College fee, Mortgage, Car loan, Personal loan etc. and claim to give you 30% - 50% discount on all bills. Once they make the payment ( which will in fact reflect in your utility account ), they will ask you to bank transfer discounted amount to an unknown bank account. In my case, bank accounts were in name of R P Raj (Suncorp bank), Vidhan Chandra Verma (Westpac) and Jaydeep Bhattacharya (Bankwest). Once you transfer the money, they will raise a dispute with the utility company and all the payments they have made will get dishonoured after a month or more. Dont fall in this trap as are hardcore bastard scammers and I have dealt with many of them and lost $4200. These are their fake mobile numbers I have identified so far but there could be many more: 0480 048 482 0488 875 180 0435 904 952 0480 050 717 0488 895 364
