I picked up but said nothing and they hung up. My guess is they test for live numbers to onsell, and if someone talks they also try to scam that person.

Same. Didn't respond when I answered. Called it back (I know you shouldn't), thinking it might be a client, but the call didn't connect quickly so I hung up. Probably a scammer! Now have it blocked with the hundreds of other blocked numbers on my phone!

Landline phone rang at 8:15PM. I picked up and nobody said anything so I hung up.

They Hung up! I blocked it.

They pitched web development service my guess is that they got my phone number from the “whois” record associated to a domain name that I own
