Received a call from this mobile number from Lisa stating she was from a Private Organisation & she had associated me apparently through "white pages & social media & databases" to ask me to pass on her number to a work colleague being tracked through me. Unfortunately this number is not known and cannot find the company name. Very concerning.

This number seems to be a scam. They call you saying they are trying to get into contact with a relative and ask you to tell the relative to contact them. They do not reveal their company name for privacy reasons.

I received a call for the exact same thing. she knew my address and my name and also wanted me to pass on a message to a neighbour and confirm that i still live there.
it' is very concerning.

I had a missed call. Called back. Couldn’t hear the pick up wording from the female who said she would transfer me. Another woman’s voice, very Australian sounding and well mannered, couldn’t pronounce my name or any one’s correctly as I’m an Asian name. Asked if I knew anyone of the same name in Botany Rd Alexandria. Said my mobile number is attached to details she has. She repeatedly dodged answering my requests for her to clarify who is calling, company calling, or business. She finally said she is handling a private matter and cannot say because it’s a private business.
Such scammer language and behaviour. Probably hoping to pick up details from clarifying who you are. Blocked.

Asking if I knew a person because they apparently work next door to us. told her no. asked if i could pass a message along, called from this number but then gave me another number, both linked to debt collectors. Will not be forwarding anything and blocking both numbers.

Yep got a call today, asking if I knew a name... which is actually the name of a son of a friend of mine who I haven't had any contact with for 5 or 6 years. They wanted me to give him a message to call them. I said this sounds fishy, I'm not a close contact so why me? The guy gave me some crap about White Pages and databases and I said no, this sounds dodgy, and hung up and blocked the number.

This number called looking for a Jaqueline Bruce who lived in the same street called Fleet Street Browns Plains. The caller advised they got my number from white pages. Which is incorrect as I never had this number when I lived in browns plains. The caller asked if I knew a Jaqueline Bruce who was not in trouble and wanted to reach out to her. Never even heard of this person or know of her

Call from 0480 039 415 21/8/24. Initially asking if I still lived in ~quoted my previous building street addr without actual apt number~. Stated she was trying to get hold of a girl who was my neighbour and that she was worried about them. I asked for her name or company. She said "I'm Omani from my own private company". I asked where she got my number from - she said "oh I'm just dialling through all her neighbours numbers". (Ummm ? Sure!!). I gave her the landline of the building manager - on the off chance it wasn't a scam. But having now searched the number here I have rung that building manager and told him to hang up if he gets a similar call.

Person called from this number said looking for someone living in omaru st and do I live there I said no they hung up, they did not say their name or identity who they where associated with.

Just received a call from this number looking for some Kiri Ashford. They knew my name but wouldn't tell me theirs or where they were calling from. I called it back off a private number and got transferred to the person who called me. Her name was Jasmine and when I started questioning her got transferred back to someone else. Said they got my number off Facebook and white pages. My number is not listed as it's a private number and also not in my name. I've blocked the number

They called and asked about a name that wasn't my name. Then I told them I don't know anyone under that name. They then claimed they were after my sisters ex boyfriend or his family members for "personal" issues. I then informed them that the person they're asking about has a criminal record. They then asked about an old address under my parents, I informed them I haven't lived there for years. They then asked about my sister.... I gave them a fake name because I didn't trust the woman on the phone. I've since blocked the number. They wouldn't say the reason for the call.

I received this call and what is concerning is that they knew my brother's name, his old address, our parent's address, and that they had been sending letters to his old address. They knew the last 3 digits of his mobile but I did not confirm anything. I asked where they were calling from and they said the private matter at hand would be divulged if they said where they were calling from. They did say they were calling from Sydney. They said that they would send a text with their number so he can call them on (02) 8898 0138

Said they’re trying to find some guy I’ve never heard of them brought up my old address and asked if he lived there when I was there. She called me by a nickname I only use on Facebook.
