caller identifier shows open University Few days ago I was browsing courses, then I got a call from 0480 033 400 after one hour. They call me with 0480 033 401 or 0480 033 400 few times a day...lol

Caller: Open Universities Australia False and Misleading Advertising. Open Universities Australia is not a University, College or other educational institution. This is false and misleading. The business nane (and speel) discredits Universities. They advertise under the pretext of various Universities online and in particular, Facebook. Facebook users are duped into believing the adverts are by Universities offering courses/degrees when jn fact Open Universities Australia has nothing to do with Education. A Facebook user will see and respond to what appears to be a University advertisement, enquire about a potential course or degree and be asked for their PERSONAL AND PRIVATE details believing they are providing a University with these details when they are not. They are being misled into believing that they are providing Open Universities Australia with their details. Someone from Open Iniversities Australia will then do a cold call, further midleading the Facebook user to believe that they are calling to see how the student us going (pretending that they are from a university and calling an enrolled student). It is not until the caller is pressed for answers that they will admit they are not a university. They will, upon further questioning, be able to provide the time and date of the enquirers Facebook viewing of a particukar university course. Having access to a users private details and knowing their movements is not lawful. This is also a breach of Facebook's confidentiality and privacy. The users' details - identity et al - is logged and recorded without their knowledge or consent strangers who have access and can share the persons details.

I’m eager to learning and read more books to enrich my knowledge. I saw the enrollment media on online of Open University and got in touch with them from pass through advertising recruitment. Soon, someone claiming to be a student advisor called my mobile phone and also sent me an email (nightmare begins),asking for my personal ID details. Such as: Do you have an Australian citizen? ... What's your real name? Date of your birthday? How long have you lived in Australia? When did you come to Australia? Do you have an international student ID ? ... Age... Where are you from... ?? E-mail address... ? In addition to online consultation also used mobile to transinformation . Especially the caller's mobile phone numbers: 0407 098 263, 0451 562 253, 0480033401. The people who consult and ask questions each time ask for detailed personal information?? One of these, Moreover, when calling back these three mobile phone numbers, there answering the call always to asks for personal information and then pass on to someone else for repeated inquiries the of you detailed information. They were planned the routine for conversation verbal trick. due to One day, I send out all my personal relate of detailed information to interlocutor (J) , after. He immediately deleted all the messages conversation with me without warning, I’m so shocked that I immediately came to my senses! I might have been deceived. At the moment, I can only take photos as evidence of all the conversations concerning my personal data information, I regret not being to sleep for several nights and suffering from insomnia. This series of conduct was completely under the guise of academic research, uses online platforms to defraud personal information of academics in facticity . The intention is unclear. Furthermore! Check and compare on the internet the three numbers of Open University online: 0407098263, 0451562253 ,0480033401 In the comment district, there were shows that already a large number of negative comments about the victims. Caller: The persistent Ms Frey from OUA I haven't looked at any educational institutions for approximately 18months, started calling at 10pm last Sunday, calls 3 times per day, then she msgs me via SMS and she emails, im quite capable of researching courses, understanding the prerequisites if any and enrolling myself, as well as set up payment plan, I did engage in conversation 18months ago, she just wanted to sign me up to whatever she could and lock me into future courses to keep the money coming, I've emailed her explaining I also homeschool my Autistic/ADHD daughter all on my own, ergo it's difficult to chat on phone, could she please email or SMS and I'll respond, ignorant, just wants money

Caller: Open University OU does not claim to be a university. It is a third-party advertising courses of study for numerous universities. Sure, it's annoying that within a few minutes of requesting a brochure, one gets a phone call, but there is nothing misleading - albeit frustrating - about this party's behaviour.

Caller: Open university Australia I was casually looking at unis and within 10 minutes I get a call from a guy telling I applied for some course (I did not) and then when I said it must have been a mistake, he tried ro keep me on the phone to give me advice or something. Look I'll be honest - I have no idea if this a scam or not, just don't give out your number.
Also about 2 hours after I received another, I read online that that happens regularly.
