    Caller: Claiming to be from a lost super recovery firm

    I didn’t catch their initial introduction and I had to ask multiple times for them to repeat it. Claimed they were a legitimate company that was involved in searching for lost super. When I said I knew where all mine was they then wanted to know how much I had in my super... rings alarm bells. When I told them to get stuffed as I wasn’t giving information like that over the phone they started claiming that they were a legitimate company etc. Also dodgy that a call like this would come from a mobile number rather than a fixed line. Wish I could recall the company name. But got to assume this is a scam.

    Got a random call call from these people. There company has clearly bought my details from another company!!
    Just trying to sell themselves to you. Ignore them!!

    when they call, tell them youll go get your details like account number or statement for you super, and just leave them on the line. they will hang up eventaully

    Aidan, located in Broadbeach, Qld.
    "Legitimate" company advising they can find lost super.
    Advanced Customer Care might be an outbound company that work for the "legally recognised" firm (Aidan mentioned their name, I can't recall it) who can find your lost Superannuation.
    We have websites for that though right.
    There are legitimate companies who CAN find your lost super - it happened MANY years ago to my stepdad.
    They found his lost super AND took a sizable chunk of it as their fee.

    You might want to ask them more questions and perhaps request details if this interests you.

    11 calls in 13 days, I called back & on 2 occasions a recording said thanks for calling Advanced Customer Care back and to hold then hung up. However today I noticed not hung up so although deadly silent, I held on, and a lady answered and was delightful (I roll my eyes... So bubbly it was sickening) she said that I called inbound team (der!!) & They represent many companies. All the while typing, (my number into database) she stalled and then stated, suprise suprise, superannuation!!! No company name, followed quickly with questions & then a statement about how it (MY super balance) could be better - we all could do better. In no uncertain terms I advised I was well aware of my super situation and where all my super was and asked to be removed. She agreed & wished me well!!! DODGY DODGY DODGY!!! NO. NOW BLOCKED.... WE'LL SEE.... DO NOT GIVE ANY INFO!!!
