You mother’s name is something financial institutions incorporate into their identification process. I’d be very weary of supplying any information at all. Best to contact your financial institution and ask them if they have this on file and change it immediately.

Yes she said she was from the SES asking for donations. she had my email address as well. I said well send an email, I do not give a donation over the phone! This is really bad as the REAL SES does fantastic community service, so people can fall for it easily!

Received a phone call from this number. The gentleman on the phone said he was from the Rural Fire Service looking for a donation. I promptly hung up on him as I said was not interested.

Constant calling to raise funds. Their persistence ensures that I will not donate to them! They may be a worthy group of volunteers, but they do not respect my privacy or others that they continue to call. I have asked them to remove my number from their list, but the continue to call anyway. As a charity they are exempt from the Do Not Call Register. However, their behaviour has ensured $0 from me ever in the future. Block if your phone is capable. Ignore otherwise.

answered it, he asked if he was speaking to me. He says, " Hello, am I speaking to [my name]" I said yes. I said "hello". He said "hello". I kept repeating. didn't say anything back but the background noise is as if he was in a calling centre. I hung up. Got confirmation that of where I live because I responded and confirmed it. Learned Lesson: let the organisation introduce themselves first before responding to them

they called confirmed my mothers name and then hung up. I don't understand why any organisation would do this ,what is the ..point of cold calling people , confirming there identity and then hanging up once they got a hold of the person they intended to hit up for a donation.slightly suspicious.
