This number is circling WhatsApp as a loan company scamming vulnerable people getting them to pay 40% of a bill they owe and promising to pay their supplier in full- using someone else’s credit card that they stole.

Same ‘hi mum it’s me, my phone broke. A few messages were exchanged because I was concerned about my child But when they asked for bills to be paid I got suspicious.

As previous text. Exactly the same message. My adult children wouldn’t use this language. Blocked.

This phone number messaged me saying "Hi mum, it's me. This is my new phone number, my phone just broke 😊"

Clearly it's a scam, and it even came up on my phone as "suspicious" when I tried to call the number. Don't answer, just block
