Got a tx message, it really was sper, asking me to pay a fine I just received. ITS NOT A SCAM NUMBER ITS THE REAL DEAL

Got a sms from 0480 016 540 for me on a friends phone, I don't have a phone. Claimed I was going to lose my licence, well the num-bnuts never thought it out, because I have never held a car/bike licence.

Caller: SCAM

Text message claiming to be from SPER.

Claimed I have a debt to pay. I don't have any debts and it's not my name.

Received a text saying I must pay a fine or lose my licence like everyone else here. The fine on the SPER website is real, but the scam it seems is that they are getting you to pay for someone else's fine.

Check your licence for outstanding infringements before making any kind of payments people. This is a scam number.

What the hell is this? This person sounds like sovereign citizen moron and probably has not received one of these text messages.

It is SPER gov using your driver's licence as bait to get you to pay a fine this action is boarders on extortion as for me it was when you can find someone high up to tell you what it is for, was not voting in the election.
This action of using the drivers licence is unconstitutional and is possibly extortion in it path. Basically extortion is corporate blackmail to me .
The way they approach the Dept collection is very vague so people ignore it this escalation of fines occurs over time .
They addressed the letter wrong, the email too so I initially rejected it too.
I know some law and let them know so the put me to disputes page and removed the corporate action .

This is a scam guys! Logged on to the actual SPER website and I checked my "infringements". No fines and no money owning. DO NOT PAY!

although it is SPAM, it looks to get you to open an account with digital ID with SPER - gov., so i think it is the gov. doing the spamming and it may be to get you to set up a digital ID for the account with SPER. so you then would have a digital ID with the new corporation of Australia.

Claiming I have a SPER debt with SPER ID 105214167.

And I checked online, pretty sure there's no any outstanding SPER debt.

"Hi Damien, your Voluntary Instalment Plan has now registered with SPER and your next payment is due 27/06/2025. A letter has been sent confirming details. You can make payments using your SPER Party ID: 95897450 online or contact SPER on 1300 365 635."

What stupid arsehole scammer that say their from SPER that rings me on Saturday in regards to suspending my licence if I don't pay my fines, well my licence was already suspended idiots for 1 year and I'm getting it back next week. I've never got any fines in Queensland or New South Wales as I didn't have a car dumbarses. Watch out everyone just don't believe these miserable SCAMMERS, they're the criminals that should be put behind bars. Grrr it gets me so angry!

I received a text message today addressing the person who stopped owning this phone number at least 8 years ago. Either it is a scam or this SPER is a remarkably incompetent government agency.

I got a message from this number saying they were SPER and my licence was about to be suspended. Sure enough, I did have an outstanding fine. This is legit.

Got a text from 0480 016 540, informing me SPER were going to suspend my license and to call 1300 185 619 or log into SPER. I did not click on any links or ring the number, I went straight to the sper . qld . gov . au website and checked there. I did indeed have outstanding logan city council fines that I had no idea about and they were going to suspend my license. If you are worried about this number, Google the SPER phone number, it is 1300 365 635 for general inquiries, the number in the text is most likely for late debts.
