I have been getting SLAMMED with calls from 0480 012 xxx numbers - have blocked about 20 of them and they just keep calling from a slightly different number. I've been getting at least one call a day since June 2021. I never answer (having looked up the first ones on this site to see it's spam) but it's driving me slightly mad!

Caller: SPAM

Just worked out - go to your block list click add - then add match prefix and block 0480012 it will block ALL calls unknown to you from that sequence.

I also did the same with 048888

Got a call from 0480 012 421 telling me my superannuation was running out and I needed to update my details to keep it… they knew my name but that’s all… told them to f**k off and get a real job… that’s the 27th time this month I’ve been called by scammers….

Caller: A guy with an accent (from South Asia)?

I received a call from a man who knew my full name saying something about insurance for my superannuation. 3 questions were asked - Aged between 26 & 57? Which State I worked in (he knew the answer). Whether I have been working in the same industry over the last 10 years. Not sure if it's a scam or tele-marketer. I'm supposed to receive another call or package from him. I was thinking of reporting this to the police. Any thoughts/advice???

I got the call earlier today as well. He knew my full name. He spoke with a non-English accent, sounds like from southern Asia. I was asked 3 or so questions after saying something about insurance of superannuation.

-Age between 26 to 57 (Y/N)?

-State that I was in? (He knew which State I was in).

-Whether I've been with the same job over the last 10 years (Y/N).

The conversation ended with him claiming to send something to me to consider.

Not sure what the repercussions are as a result of these questions?

Feel free to share your thoughts and whether I need to escalate it to the Police.

I called this number "back" and was speaking to a "Rod Scoffield" that was asking about Super and if I had superfunds that were not active - asked the age group - I told him I was older than that age group. And he was satisfied and that was it... I do hope I will not regret this.....!

0408 012 . . . numbers have been calling me daily since 26 Jul.... the last 3 digits always change. I never answer and they dont leave a message. Sometimes during the day, sometime after 5pm. I did answer the call once and it was a recording about tax and jail... blah blah blah!!! So now I dont answer anything 0480 012.......

Caller: Never leaves message.

I have been called everyday for the last 10 or so days, the last 3 numbers are different & rings after 6.00pm & as late as 7.40pm that was on a Sunday 2 nights ago, so gets a Block from me!!
