Same here!
trying to sell a 2016 Volkswagen Amarok 4x4 for less than half price of the market.

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting me and sorry for taking so long to reply, I've been messed around by one previous buyer for lack of funds, I can confirm that the car is still for sale and never been involved in an accident, Nobody has smoked in it, I've attached some pictures so you can take a closer look at the car, excellent condition without any damage or scratches at all, Mechanically A1, it's a fantastic car, only travelled 98,000 kms, all of which being said I expect to get $ 8,500 for it. The only reason for selling this car so cheaply is because I am involved in a project and I will move to New Zealand on August 29th and not come back for the next 3 years. It's the first time I've been to New Zealand and I'm a little nervous but excited at the same time. It would be a shame to keep the car in the garage for 3 years without being used and I also need some cash before leaving for New Zealand. Right now I am located in Devonport TAS, because our squad it's doing some special training, and in case you decide to buy the car, I will deliver it to your address with our RAAF truck (Transport insurance is included). Besides, it's free and I will give you a 5 days inspection period so you can take the car to a mechanic and test it before I receive your money. Also, It will come with a Roadworthy Certificate and NSW Rego, so you don't have to do the running around, Registration paid until 01 September 2021.
You’ll love the car, I can guarantee you that.

Thank you!
Tracy Joy Williams

Travel Joy Williams seems to be very busy - word for word spiel as JATEENDER above but changed the rego to WA and the rego to the 11/10/21. I reported the CX5 Mazda to Auto Trader along with a 2016 Mitsubishi Triton / Hyundai IX35 and these vehicles have now been taken down from the website.

Also emailed by this name regarding a Nissan Xtrail listed for $7500 (ridiculously cheap, so I emailed asking what's wrong with it?) Unfortunately this person does appear to have stolen correct car details, I checked the rego and it is a legit licensed Nissan Xtrail, although the expiry is now another 3 months.

Below is a copy of the email:

SCAM.
2015 Ford ranger.
Agree with all the above.
Price offered was 1/4 market price because she was moving to NZ with the army…
She attached a photo of a (fake) driver’s license to try and legitimatise herself.
Definitely a scam, please be wary.

Definitely a scam. Saw an ad on GumTree about selling a Mazda CX-9 for 11k - too good to be true. Same drivel as already mentioned by others here, moving to NZ and the RAAF truck nonsense.

Thought I found a bargain. A Mazda CX-5 advertised in Perth WA selling on auto trader for $7500. Got an email saying she was in Devonport TAS and will ship the car to me on RAAF truck. Thought this was dodgy so checked google and same scam as everyone else here

Exactly the same spiel as below, sent a driver's license and wanted $$ through ebay motors. Replied back to their email with a big SCAM in bold. It was obvious at the first email it was a scam, even more so when we asked when could we view the so called vehicle.

Made contact via email about the purchase of a 2016 Mitsubishi Triton really unbelievably cheap. Says she was in TAS on special training and would send the car on a RAAF cargo boat at her expense. Even sent me a copy of her drivers License so I guess shes real but doesn't know her identity has been hacked. Poor lady. The number I was given was 0480 001 379. email address wtracyjoy @ gmail.com

Seems it is good busy being in the RAAF, going under the same name (Tracy Joy Williams), she is now selling a Toyota Kluger very cheaply.
I hope the real person of which she sent me a drivers license id, knows that this person is using her name in the scam.

Tracy tried to scam me saying first of all a RAAF truck, then a RAAF cargo boat would transfer the vehicle to me…. Funny that I don’t remember the Air Force having any of them. Poor lady who actually has been scammed by these people is now having her identity used as they have her drivers license.
