Tried to get me to switch power and gas providers.

Reading the comments- thank you they are here- got a missed call on this mobile number now I won’t return it. Wow things must be getting desperate for scammers they are calling on mobile numbers now and not landlines

The "mobile number" is a computer generated number and if you try to return the call it will just ring out. They also use software that tries to duplicate your mobile number.
I just tell them I am recording the conversation and I will send it to the AFP and that always works

Called today and no message left, thus spam

Missed the call - left no message - thank you for to all for your input - number now blocked

Missed call today - no message left. Upon reading this thread (thanks all for the comments!), assuming that it's the same scammer... blocking number now.

Potential scam. Asked me if I paid the power bill, sensing some fun, let them know that I was and I hated it, so asked if they could help me out. Was obviously a bit too excited because they hung up on me.

Just got a call at 17.17 hrs, 2 Dec 2020. Answered but no response. I am on Optus. Good thing there are these comments. Have blocked number. I wonder how much the workers get paid to make these calls?

Got a missed call from this number and when I tried calling back the call wouldn’t even go through so I came here to lookup the number. Thanks to the comments here I can block the number.

Claimed to be something to do with power. Although, I couldn’t really understand him. When I asked, “Who? From where?” twice, he hung up on me.
