Text claimed to be new number of daugher who smashed phone (fake information) request to contact urgently this number. Immediately contacted daughter who confirmed it was scammer just as suspected

Hi Mum, I dropped my phone and broke it. This is my friend's phone and its about to die, here's my new WhatsApp number 0479 111 562. Please message me now its urgent x

Text claimed to be new number of daugher who smashed phone (fake information) request to contact urgently this number. Immediately contacted daughter was a scam.

SCAM Message from +0123456789:

reads:
"Hi Mum, I dropped my phone and broke it. This is my friend's phone and its about to die, here is my new WhatsApp number 0479 111 562. Please message me now its urgent x"

Sure I have a kid but they are way to young to send this and i know their phone is at home.

Got one today, panicked for a min then realised wouldnt be one of mine so came here sure enough scammer..... a pox on them and their scams
