Community collectors- these are the door knockers who collect on behalf of charities and take between 30-95% of donations as a fee for doing so. They are used by multiple charities.

Caller: 0478 476 844 Some RSL charity person, I answered and was really confused. They called me at dinner time. I was quite annoyed.

They have been calling me multiple times a day for the past week. I finally called back and it says they’re ‘community collectors calling on behalf of a charity’ I don’t donate to anyone at the moment and my number is on the do not call register so I have blocked this number.
