Caller: Countrywide Austral

The company is Countrywide Austral - they run quarterly regional publications for SES, Neighbourhood Watch, Streetsmart, Volunteer RFS and other similar organisations (up to 8 that I'm aware of). They are not a scam but they can be a nuisance, as they call for sponsorship for each organisation's quarterly publication.
And they use several mobile numbers similar to this one.

Claimed to be from Neighbourhood Watch. Called on this number after trying to call me on 0478 285 747 which I looked up and is also "Neighbourhood Watch" and reported as a scam and I subsequently blocked. Didn't let him finish his spiel, cut him off, told him I wasn't interested and knew it was a scam after looking up the other number.

I told him that I will google his mobile number for verification and he put down the phone on me immediately.
Its obviously a SCAM.

Called claiming to be from NSW Police & Neighbourhood Watch regarding a Street Smart Drug & Alcohol Prevention Program. Absolute shambles of a pitch to try & convince me he was someone of importance. Sounded like he was reading a script of what to try & scam people for. Not to mention he called off a mobile. Embarrassing really..
Wanted to speak to the business owner about this opportunity & whether or not my business would be interested in sponsoring this program.

This number calls me every day, but nobody talks and just hangs up, verging on harrassment.

Claimed to be from police seeking contribution to distribute smart booklet. I said I will call him back but he said I wouldn't be able to and said he will call me back later and took my email address. I couldn't be bothered to call back. I think he got my number from business registration as he mentioned my company's name. I also wonder if I was targeted because I have a non anglo name and thought to be ignorant of such scams. This is the second time I received such call.

Claims to be from the police and after advertising new local businesses in the journal or something to that effect. When queried got shirty and eventually hung up. Also claiming he was calling from a call centre.
Recalled the number which is a mob No and that in itself is unusual for call centre. Heard Guy's voice - standard busy message left by him.
Sounds to just another love telemarketer.

Claims to be from Queensland Police, but why would the police call from a mobile number?

Was from a call centre for Police wanting to talk about an "exciting opportunity" for my business. When I said no thank you, he was extremely rude and hung up on me. Unfortunately, we can't support everyone's cause and we also don't always have time to wait on the phone until you have finished your script when we know we aren't going to be able to give you any money!

I called back the number 0478 287 451 and reached vm that did not mention the company name
