I had a missed call from this number this evening, call back 10 mins later to Optus advising me this number has been disconnected.

Same here.
I get these calls once a fortnight. Number always different. Surveillance? Or marketing? But if marketing, why hang up?

I had a call also from this number today which I answered and they listened to my opening line then hung up.
I called back straight away and "Optus advises this number is disconnected.

same as all above, ring and hang up, maybe a robot confirming active numbers prior to their next assault on our ears with their dribble.
Blocking may help, but the calls may come from other numbers.
Why does Optus allow companies to use a disconnected number, in this day and age of Terrorist activity.

Same as above comment. This number called and when answered it hung up or was cut off. Called back and Optus message that number not connected.

I picked it up there was a noise as it was in the call centre likewise then it cut off, no one said anything. So I called back straight away Optus advised me that the number was disconnected.

Just had a call from this number but nobody was there. I rang back immediately from a landline but Optus advised that the number has been disconnected - very odd!

Answered the call they immediately hung up

This number is not even connected on their network.
Register a complaint directly with Optus fraud department.

This is a cold calling group called Futures Australia. I cut them off before she started her long speech and blocked the number.

I just received a call as well from this number. Missed it, no VM was left. When called back a couple of minutes later, I had the same response that Optus has disconnected this number. How is that supposed to be possible that a disconnected number is calling others?
