Hi all. ashleysmithp2 @ gmail.com is the latest email this piece of sh*t scammer is using !! Sellers beware do not respond. Below is the content of the first email.

Where is it located at the moment? Final asking price?Why are you selling it? Does it need anything to be replaced or repaired? I'm cool with the condition as described on the advert. I work on a remote mine site presently. and the reception is terrible. We do not have access to a phone at the moment, which is why I contacted you with an internet messaging facility.

Regarding the payment,i will be paying you through PayPal linked up with my Nab bank account, please get back to me with your PayPal details so i can process the payment,you can alternatively send your bsb acct name and number if you have no PayPal acct.

I have also contacted my courier who will come to pick up and deliver it to my place in Darwin after the whole fund has been cleared into your account. As regards the papers, all I will need is a receipt, the rego will have to be done in NT Darwin at my place of residence, so there will be no use for the existing Reg and RWC and i can buy it Unregistered

Got the exact same today as all the other posters. Thank you everybody for sharing. From your posts, I now know this is a scam and will cut off any further comms.

Someone needs to pay the %&*$ a visit

No call but got an email for the same Ashley Smith who is on a remote mine site in NT and wants to buy my car and get it couriered to NT.
After a bit of emailing it appear to be to good to be true so a asked him what mine site he works on and that's were it ended

Exact same message as all the above. Starts as text via a messaging service provides the email ashleysmitth73 @ gmail.com so the name seems to stay the same just the number at the end changes.

I only just advertised the car as an fyi

Email 3 hours after posting on Carsales....exact text as above. Told him I wasn't going to pay anyone with my money till his was in the bank. Silence from then

Another scam attempt from Ashley Smith in Darwin saying exactly the same crap.
I’m actually going to let it take it’s course and try and reverse the scam asking him for $300 so I can get the funds to pay his “ Courier “.

I have received the exact same email as above, I even asked for a drivers license, which he sent me. It did contain the same Ashley Smith name and the address was in N.T.
