Caller: so-called Chinese Consulate

My daughter received a call from 0477 230 000 but is aware of scam calls and didn't answer. A voicemail message was left of a pre-recorded male voice saying "Please call the consulate of china as soon as possible" then appeared to repeat the message in Chinese. I note they didn't state which Chinese Consulate or which city. I have googled Chinese Consulate scam and it appears it's been going strong in America. Must be the Aussies turn!

Recorded message to call the Chinese consulate ASAP, then repeated message in Chinese.

Odly, about 1 hour before getting this call, I got one from a private number, and they left a message in Chinese

Just received missed call from this number. Voicemail msg left to call Chinese asap then spoke in Chinese.

Where are they getting our PRIVATE CP numbers...this bloody idiot scammers!!!

its a scam trying to delude Chinese people, talking about some "important stuff" about the consulate of whatever. Just block it

Pre-recorded message in English then Chinese. Telling me to ring the china consulate asap. As if.

Received a call . Did not answer. 2 x voice messages left. Male voice sounded machine produced English msg to call Chinese Embassy asap then longer message in another language.
