I also received the same text. Asking me to call a WhatsApp number. Didn’t fall for it. My children have must better grammar and sentence structure than that contained in the message. No doubt if I called the number an attempt at extortion was on the cards. Please ignore this one.

Same as others. Call supposedly originates from 0405 334 785. The old 'Hi mum I'm texting you off a friends phone...' blah, blah, blah. The number they gave to contact them on Whatsapp is this one - 0475 754 738

I almost fell for it. Got so far as agreeing to pay some bills for my ‘son’ when I got suspicious as asked them to tell me my eldest granddaughters middle name, the called made a guess which thankfully was wrong. And realised I was onto them so their messages have been deleted.
