Well after reading this it looks like they got me too. I have a new business and did advertise in the Fed Police mag, which I saw a copy of, and thought this was legit too. Stupidly I paid over the phone.........aghh.
I also had a call from a Crime Prevention mag who said I had agreed to a one off add and once I told them I didn't and actually can't afford it the never called back. BEWARE PEOPLE.

Vic Streetsmart Handbook, SES magazine, National emergency services magazine, Nieghbourhood Safety Journal, Crime Prevention Australia, Paramedics handbook, Firefighters Handbook, Australian 000 Journal,Workplace Hazards & Safety.
The list goes on Ladies and Gentlemen, every one of these "publications" has contacted me over the last 6 months, all adds are around the same price $369 to $420, all offering a discount if you pay over the phone. All of them guarantee that i authorised the add some time before and now the invoice is due. i feel really stupid as i have actually paid a few of them to date.
Please Please Please warn other small businesses of this scam
If anyone can shut these people down please do this has seriously damaged my small business, and I'm now hanging on by a thread.

Yeh i have had this too. She got me at a time when i was doing similar advertising, so it seemed believable. But cant call her or her"distributions office" back on there mobile numbers. When they did call me i could here children and house hold noise in the background... They did send me the booklet i am supposedly advertised in. The invoce has in bold,"This is not a bill. You are not requied to send any money (AUST CONSUMER LAW REQUIREMENT )." Definitely a scam.

Yep, i had exactly the same - It started after i had excepted advertising in the AiPOL - Aust Institute Police Magazine in approx oct 17. They are proper. Then i received a call from The "Childrens Voice Magazine", approx a couple of months later who initially didnt ask for money but made out i woud l be advertising in this mag and everything was all good and they would arrange the ad for me to check before publishing. (i actually hadnt ordered this ad at all.) Then on the 23rd Jan i think i got 2 separate calls from a lady confirmng all my address details etc. and reading out how the ad would read, and of course it all sounds absolutely correct....still no payment asked for but in all creates a picture of a big company when different people, from "different departments" ring confirming the same thing and quoting the last persons name. Then later the same day, a guy rang for payment saying it was now being published and payment at publishing meant you could secure a 10% discount and your copy would be posted out the next day,(or something like that... i asked for the invoice to be emailed through and i would fix up the payment that night, however he said thats ok but i cant provide the discount. so foolishly i paid then and there. i rang their landline ph only yesterday, went to voice message, and suprisingly they rang back! i said i hadnt received the mag or the artwork to approve. The guy said he would arrange another mag to be sent and emailed me the artwork! - its a copy of the AiPOL ad! No mag yet.
i have also had another one on just this past Mon 12th Feb 18 and they were from the "Crime Prevention Magazine"!! they are scum bastards. Watch out!

Neighbourhood Safety Journal - very professional scam, even sent me an Invoice & colour booklet which had my 'un-authorised' Advert in it. I phoned a few of the other companies that also had advertisement's in this book and all had been contacted by this scam over the past year.
The Accounts department from a company NSG Graphics then phoned from phone number 0466 159 802 for immediate credit card payment to receive a discount, I advised them that I was aware that this was a well known scam aimed at small businesses and had researched it. They hung the phone up.
Very professionally executed scam and it comes from within Australia .... which you don't expect - Beware

I got off the phone with them today,,they said I authorised the add ,when I didn’t ,I run a very small business I get to much work from high pages I don’t need extra advertising,,they are so rude and abrupt that they even said if I don’t pay they will send the sheriff/collectors around ,,I told them to go and jump,,he’s scam mobile is the same as the above one 0411 076 116

Well people these Scammers (advertisers) are back at it again so beware.

Unfortunately we had been stung a couple of times for advertising until the penny dropped and a bit of investigation happened.

Still going through the same routine of ringing and saying that they spoke to us in November 2019. Lucky they rang the boss who in no uncertain terms told them to #%^ off, only way to stop these mob from calling. I had even sent through emails to them to take us off their register and that I would contact them when I wanted to advertise.

Appears to be a scam based on attempting to be confiused with similar but legitimate publications.
These guys have have an actual registered ABN to Star Digital Answer pty ltd with 3 trading names: Childrens Voice Alliance, Lookout Community Safety, and Welfare and Protection

Came up as a private number left message . I didnt answer the second call . Then a mobile call, first of all they wanted to thank me for my previous support, i said wtf, i got them because they said it was xx who they had spoken too he had left my company a year prior, then texts from a woman asking to ok the add i texted back NOT INERESTED havent heard back yet

Got the phone call this morning having a nice friendly chat until he asked for my credit card details over the phone. It didn’t seem right so I told him to invoice me. 24hrs later I received the invoice e to pay now - which the caller said “you only pay once you will receive the magazine “.

This is Exactly the same technic they have used with me . I haven't paid and they keep on sending me email regarding the invoice to pay overdue.I haven't authorised anything they want to be paid for . NOT GOING TO PAY ! I Wonder if police are aware of this .

same "company" that got me. I paid a discounted fee of $445. I actually received a book in the mail from them. The book is black and white with the advertising businesses smack bang in the middle of the book in colour. I can clearly see staples had been removed and the page stapled back into it. Once i seen this, i contacted a few of the advertising people and none of them were legit. Ive already reported it online and to my bank. I wont give up until these so called people and dealt with.

They got me too. Same MO, after advertising in a legit mag they must have seen my add.
The mags they said I'd agreed to advertise in were the neighborhood safety journal and cime and drug review. They contacted me twice from this mobile: 0406 234 676. I'm a small business owner and can't afford to be scammed like this. My own fault for not realising earlier. Spread the word people.

Same thing as the rest, they got me once then tried again under a different magazine name a week later. DONT PAY THEM ANYTHING.
They will ask for a payment which goes through a company called NSG GRAPHICS PTY LTD, ABN - 40169560507. They only advertise their address as a PO Box 2529 Nerang QLD. The registered business address is UNIT 3 35 TOWNSHIP DRIVE BURLEIGH HEADS QUEENSLAND, 4220. Contact number is 1300 145 051 (but they never answer) Email - accounts @ nsggraphics.net.au
Key business principal - WILLIAM DONALD SHINGLES.
