When I called back it sais the number is disconnected.

Scam, confirmed my name and said a college had informed him that I was interested in offshore investments.

Why do they bother?

Trying to get my email address to send me free no obligation investment opportunities. Claimed that they had my details from a colleague called "Peter" which I don't have any idea about.

Tread carefully.

Call me by my nickname and that was listed on facebook. Asked for my e-mail which i refused.

Called from 'Overseas Ideas' and wanted my email address to send me more information.

Scam call. No idea how he got my name but when I said I didn't have money to invest, he said "ok, no worries, honey"

Received a cold call from this number trying to promote international investment opportunities. When I mentioned that cold calling is illegal in Australia they hung up.

Missed call. When I called back it said number not connected.

Scam, I answered the call and just hanged up time wasters.
