Text message received this morning from 0469 095 559 "hi mum i have got a new number" I replied "that's good, now you can transfer the $42,000 you owe me and 🤬 off" and I blocked and reported the number

They texted me today. Used same as above saying hi mum i have a new phone number. Said my phone had dropped in loo and needed to pay two bills for $4000. I knew it was a scam and reported it.

This number texted me advising "hi Mum I have a new number". When I responded asking which of our children it was, they responded with the correct option. When we tried to ring the number, it came up with the correct name, but only rang once before disconnecting. Now doesn't ring at all. Very dodgy. Be careful.
