They contacted me about selling a car and offered to buy, but requested a “report” and attempted to send a link — likely a scam.

Have just received same car buyer SMS 'story' in response to a Gumtree ad posted today. Incredibly quick response. Same offer to buy car and request for TVA report etc. When I suggested that was buyers' responsibility, communication stopped. Suggest this is definitely a SCAM of sorts. Beware!

Same number called about motor bike on Gumtree. requested VI report and sent link... i had the same form another number 0485 908 470 with very similar txt messages and requested VI report and sent link to topgearaus.com.. seems like a Bot scam
