Caller: Scammer

Posted an ad on Gumtree. Shortly after started receiving texts from this number offering to pay for shipping from WA to VIC for a $5 item. Claimed he worked for a Cash Converters store in Ballarat, but the item was a second hand bin, not something any Cashies would ever sell. I told him "local pickup only", then proceeded to send details about how to receive payment, which of course involved sending my personal details first. Obvious scammer. Hope this prevents someone else from getting duped, but I knew it was off from the get go.

Same number 0466 104 370 trying to 'pay' with paysend-transfer bogus link. Claimed to be Peters of Kensington.

Sent me a text about my Gumtree ad. After searching this site, I just responded 'SCAM'.

Also from gumtree. Had the paysend link sent which I ignored as seemed scammy. Then texted today saying they were Gumtree and my account had unusual activity and I needed to reply. Deleted and reported as Spam.

Same thing happened here I posted a cheap item on gumtree and received straight away text messages from this number saying he is in WA and would organise to ship item to him ,wanted my bank details,it didn't make any sense at all , he should be flagged
