Received a text from person saying I received a job as a mystery shopper to check my email for the employee contract.to check spam Folder if can't see email.
If it's a scam seems to be a very in depth detailed one

Green Light Auto Finance; a business I’ve never heard of, not used. Same SMS every couple of weeks. Definitely a scam!

The SMS:
“URGENT: Please review, sign & return updated DDR Form. Once received you will be removed from our contact list. To verify the legitimacy of this SMS please contact us on 1300 864 988 Thank you & Kind Regards Green Light Auto Finance“

When I was at work, this number sms me saying "URGENT, pls contact .... in regards to a smoke alarm inspection that is urgently required at your property" blah blah. Made me scared at that moment to think if I let my cooking not turn off. Did they try to scare me to run home to check? Anyway, it's not fun at all to sms people like that. I blocked that number already.

Bona fide messages from a school. Have been getting them for years.

I've received messages from this number on behalf of multiple businesses. Hairhouse Warehouse, restaurant booking confirmations.

Also just realized it's the number used by a local butcher to send texts re specials & promotions. This I had opted in to & has only been legitimate text messages at reasonable intervals.

This was the weirdest call I've ever received. (Didn't know it was a spam number at the time.) I sell dance shoes; they enquired about buying dance shoes. Couldn't work out at first if it was a man or a woman but said the name was Chris. Said he was 40 years old & having a "Coming Out" party in a couple of weeks, & kind of making his/her "debut" at this party. With the CWA ladies helping run the party. Said he was 125cm tall, weighed 24kg & had kids' size 7-8 feet (so a midget with feet about the size of a 2 year old's - also with an ex-wife & kids). Then described the kind of outfit & hairdo he would be wearing - all of which would have been a Shirley Temple look alike. Politely explained that I didn't have what he was after while wondering if this person was for real, if so they're nuts, or is it a prank, if so, they kept it up really well. Actually relieved to know it was just a rubbish call.
