Pretending to be NBN/Telstra. Trying to instal malware. Beware these thieves.

I've just rung Telstra. This number is genuine. Check that they quote your correct Telstra ID in the email.

Received text messages from this number with incorrect information. No reply. As others have said, this is a scam. The people who have said it’s legitimately Telstra are in the scam and trying to trick you. Block and avoid.

Received a TXT message stating my Fault has been closed and to follow online link. I never registered a fault. Assume it's a scam, not following the link to find out.

Received 2 texts (stating Telstra) from number stating nbn wifi problem in area. I don't have a problem. Not sure if legit or not.

I believe this to be a legitimate Telstra/NBN number. They SMS me saying "we see you are experiencing an issue on your NBN service . . ." which is quite true and does need attention. The SMS quoted my Telstra id number which is quite correct.

Pretending to be from Telstra/NBN saying they have identified a speed issue. Quoted incorrect Account Number. Check speed on Telstra site - OK. Assume a scam

Log in to your Telstra account and look in the activity log. It will have a log of this text being sent to you. I believe this is legit.
