Text received purporting to be from ANZ. I attempted take make an online purchase yesterday and the suppliers website would not accept my order saying it had detected something wrong. About 6-7 hours later I received the said text which went as far as to mention the last 4 digits of my credit card; the purchase amount and the suppliers name. I have know doubt it's a scam after my email was hacked a few days ago. Block and delete.

Caller: ANZ This message was legitimate and there was fraudulent activity on our credit card from overseas. The text included the last four digits of my credit card and details of 3 transactions. I confirmed it by checking the transaction on online banking, then called ANZ on their 1800 number to cancel the card and get my money back.

Caller: ANZ Legit. From ANZ notifying via SMS if there's unauthorized transaction. I didn't believe them, after seeing this page. But called ANZ, and it's their number indeed. Safe.

A few mins I made a purchase online I got a message from this number. Saying temporary blocking my credit card for the suspicious activities. It quoted my credit card number, company name I purchase items from, and dollar amount. I called back ANZ they verify that it is a legit message from their security team. Not a spam. If still not sure you can defiantly call them back to verify.

scam! "we have authorized a large amount, but then put card on hold card after a 2nd big transaction request, push 1 for ok, 0 for not" sent on Sunday afternoon by SMS. Will report it tomorrow. Luckily I have an old flip phone so I am not worried about them getting any details about me or my accounts.
