checked at a Telstra store - the number was +61457552222 and said I was overdue - store said it was a scam

website looks believable - beware!!!

received text message from this number, saying my most recent bill of $190.82 is now overdue. Knew my first name. links to payment assistance etc. just as well i know when my account is due and how much it will be. Very sophisticated and authentic looking message. SCAM/FRAUD

Received an SMS from this number today (03/10/23) about my Telstra bill. I’m not even a Telstra customer. Scam. Be aware.

Claiming to be from Telstra about account being overdue even though mine is direct debit. "To enjoy continued use of your service, pay now at <website> or Reply "1" if you need 6 more days to pay." Noted the link was .com not .com.au! Be careful and query everything!

3 SMS messages received over the past week supposedly from Telstra re an overdue bill of $98.07. All have been addressed to "Alison and to pay now at Telstra.com/paybill or to reply with 1 or 6.
Firstly, I'm not Alison, so knew immediately it was a scam and secondly I don't have any overdue accounts. I have now blocked the number. From reading previous comments on this number, the scam has been circulating since at least 2018.

Same as all the others telling me that we owe money on an old account but knew my elderly fathers name who is on the account it even goes up every month or so by about $110. Saying we owe $685 then $795 now today’s is $905 I know we don’t owe this as I use the my Telstra app and have access to everything all bills. With a link to pay or text back for more time. I know Telstra comes up not as a number but as Telstra in my phone too even without adding a contact and this is a sh*tty bought number. Wouldn’t trust it at all not even to click the link. Have reported it to that cyber scam police link thingy

received SMS saying my telstra bill was $60.67 overdue. They knew my first name.
I dont owe Telstra anything.SCAM!! Deleted.

Msg said I owe $5200 which I do almost, offered me deal to pay just over half that amount but must be received in two weeks, fark em I didn't pay.

Scam saying bill overdue and click the link (that looks legitimate) to pay now.

Claims to be Telstra offering a discount on overdue bills if you pay certain amount. With a fake account number!! Confirmed scam with Telstra.

Had message that I owed money on my account (not my account number) and offered discount if I paid a certain amount. Have read other comments and quite obvious this is not from Telstra. Deleting the message. Be aware - this is fake
