Text message rrquesting NBN feedback on the promise of potentially recieving a prize (link in msg). No company name in text either. Never had nbn, so I'm extremely sceptical. Rating as scam/fishing. Click link at your own risk. Text message: nbn kindly requests feedback on your experience. You could win 1 of 5 $500 eGift Vouchers! Click https://nxt.to/bwxYfn. To opt out reply STOP to 0457 062 602 - the website is false and the number a scam. Caller: 0457 062 626
If these irritating sh*t-encrusted d*ck helmets don't stop calling and messaging me i'm going to use my huge amount of free time (i have no life and lead a sad existence) to find out via XCM leads who they are and take them out.
No, its a SCAM. I got the message and haven't had a technician experience since NBN was fitted 2 years ago. Caller: nbn
I believe this is a legitimate message from nbn. Received this message 2 days after my nbn was installed: "nbn requests feedback on your recent nbn technician experience. Pls complete this 1 min survey here https://nxt.to/*******."
Upon clicking the shortened link it took me to a personalised page on https://yourexperience.nbnco.com.au/ where my address was displayed with 4 very short questions about my recent nbn experience.
To future posters: probably best not to post your personalised link as it shows your address, lol...
I regularly get this text saying to click on link or reply with STOP, not doing either as we don't have nbn. Telstra even gave us a credit as we were paying them for nbn but not getting the service in our area. This is a SCAM and if you click on link or reply they have your phone as active number and will onsell to other scammers. Even those that click and say it's legit anyone can make the link LOOK legit - doesn't mean it is. Why would NBN send a text when NBN is all about Internet & emails?????? IT'S A SCAM.
This is a SCAM 2 x text messages with link to "feedback" and phone number to opt out.
NBN do not contact persons unsolicited, expect is a phishing scam.
Just because it doesn't ask for a login or password doesn't mean it's not a scam. It asks you to complete a survey or to opt out by replying STOP to a specific mobile number. Either way, if you do either of these things, they will have verified your mobile number which, as others have pointed out, they can on-sell to other scammers or advertisers or use for future scam calls and messaging themselves. I have had NBN for 6 years, there are no problems in my area and there is no reason at all why they would suddenly start asking for feedback after all this time. At the moment I still get the annoying robo-calls on my landline from the steely-voiced "Nicole" threatening immediate disconnection and more recently from young Asian-accented person claiming to be my internet provider informing me of various problems that I don't actually have - these calls are also on my landline. Pretty sure if I took either of the response options offered in this fake SMS message I'd be getting a whole lot of spam rexts and calls on my mobile too. At the moment I only get about one such messag per year!! Caller: NBN (apparently)
Text message: nbn would like feedback on your experience. You could win 1 of 5 $500 eGift Vouchers! Click https://nxt.to/JRmwtG9 To opt out reply STOP to 0457 062 626.
I looked up the website and it took me to a survey page asking to answer a few questions. The first question they wanted to know if they had my correct address. I got to thinking why wouldn't NBN know my current address. It was showing my previous address, but I didn't have the NBN on then. So alarm bells rang! Please don't be fooled, be constantly vigilant against these SCAMMERS!
Despite what people are saying here, it's a legitimate text from NBNco. Easiest proof being go to the url in the message, it links straight up with NBNco's website, HTTPS and all. more spam UNWANTED I cannot access survey-nbn.com.au/4
Why would I be surprised. They have the worst call centre that I have had to deal with. Undertrained, understaffed and not very bright.
Fourth time I have received the ”nbn kindly requests your feedback. You could win 1 of 5 $500 eGift vouchers” text in past two years. Have not had NBN during this time. Not willing to click just in case.
Received SMS which said....
"welcome to the nbn network!. Please complete a 1 min survey about your technician experience. https://survey.nbn.com.au/cnqw4N8 To opt out txt STOP to 0457 062 626."
Flagged by my mobile as SPAM. Also flagged with 'Sender does not support replies'
Like everyone else, got a message for feedback. Pretty sure it was spam. Not called, I just blocked, didn't have a number. Instead of a number, it just said nbn. Don't think I ever used NBN. Caller: https//nxt.to/Bt (etc)
Received an email this morning from the above (not the full link) this morning, claiiming that a 2nd Kayo payment attempt was declined. Update my info by clicking the link within 48 hours.
Problem is, I don't have a Kayo account. Never have. Apparently it is from Streamotion, according to the text.
Caller: 0457 062 626
This number is still operating a fake NBN scam and I note that this has been going on for over two years. So, why has the number not been disconnected by the telco? Why has the ACCC or the Federal Telecommunications Minister Not intervened? Are they powerless to do anything or just don’t give a damn!
Caller: Claims to be NBN
Uses the same bait as the others received - can win one of 5 $500 gift vouchers. Obviously a scam as I have never had any interaction with the NBN roll out..
Got message about ABN I don't have ABN never had it I don't know were they got my number from. Scammers don't reply or do that surveys
