Caller: Scammer that stole an actual persons phone number, pretending to be a solar panel company.

I'm sorry this has happened to your bf. I just got a call from them and reported it. You should bring it up to Vodafone again. Best of luck.

It's called 'spoofing'. I've had the same thing happen to me. They do stop eventually but it's annoying the meantime.

It came up as Sydney City Sheds. Why would Sydney City Sheds be selling solar panels, to someone in another state.

Hello there. I got a call 5.58pm Qld time 14/04/2023 from 'Sydney City Sheds' as a 'smart' identified call on the samsung service. I thought it was suspicious and I see that it is being used to spoof calls. I feel your pain, as my phone number was spoofed and I got a few snarky calls from people demanding to know why I had called them. I just changed my answer bank message to warn people my number was being used to spoof, and luckily the calls stopped shortly after.

Didn’t answer, they didn’t leave a message and when I called back it said the Number couldn’t be connected

It may be Spam or Nuisance Call. They call every day over the last three days and we did not answer. When calling back the message we get is "This number cannot be connected". Reading some messages above, it seems phone numbers can be "highjacked" and other parties can call and impersonate someone else's phone number which is worrying.

These are offshore criminals. The money pool they swim in feeds into slavery,paedophilia and other heinous crimes, and yet our govt is doing what? Look how many ppl have rported this number and they still scam with impunity. What is the law for? Why is Telstra not blocking the number?
