Caller: Block this number! This number was ported without my consent by scammers actively using it The strange calls started about a year ago. (March 2020) variety of forms, some from private numbers some from mobiles, weird text msgs- voicemails left on all repeated calls day and night, leaving long voicemails in a foreign language.(est 15min duration)
Then I started getting prompts to login into my iCloud- but I had not logged out… not long after my iPhone started getting spoofed (my friends numbers hijacked) and started calling me. Now when you get a strange call from a deceased person that’s when you know something is really wrong. My phone mobile reception kept dropping out until all I had left was a “no service” signal ðŸ˜
So the next day I asked my phone provider for assistance and as wonderful as they were - they still don’t have the situation under control! - but all I can say is do not answer 0450 956 680 as it belongs to scammers now. And should be black listed! Be nice if I could send the scammers involved the phone bill attached to that number too! Sigh!
I highly recommend setting up a VPN on all devices - as an additional iOS security measure - it seems to be an essential item that Apple didn’t really guide us on how to setup! But if you use Android it’s much the same! Protect your data and be mindful of scam texts - check scamwatch regularly as tech changes quickly - hope this helps 🤓
