Caller: Mitchell David Smith (fake) Found this guy via Carsguide classified ad that claimed to be selling a 2012 white Hyundai i30. He emailed me back and said he was a air force soldier in Devonport TAS waiting to be deployed in New Zealand, doing training and not allowed to get out of the unit or give calls freely, so best to correspond by email. He offered to deliver the car to my state with RAAF truck and arrange payment via Escrow service. We exchanged our photos holding our NSW IDs, so he has my details. He never got back to me but I started searching online and found multiple other people who did go through with payments and never received the car. I didn't lose money but I lost my ID details and I want to alert others to NOT PAY THIS GUY!

Caller: Mitchell Smith Offers to seel a suzuki swift for $5000 wants loads of personal information pictures and details to "make a contract with escrow" but escrow sight says that is not required as they will make contact to retrieve that said information. This seemed far too good to be true and it sure turned out to be exactly that! Bit of a shame really

Confirmed scammer calling himself Mitchell David Smith claiming he is from the RAAF selling cars. He was trying to a sell us a Suzuki Swift. Sets up a fake escrow after saying he will get the car delivered for free etc etc. We didn’t fall for it.
