Got a text with dodgy links saying that someone had requested evidence in a case, giving a case ID, a woman’s name, a link to ‘view the case’ and a link to ‘opt out’. Did not click either.

An officer cam to the house looking at our nuisance neiboughs yard, I saw them and let them know we had cameras if they needed anything. They said I would be sent a link to upload evidence to - text arrived 2 minutes later with the aforementioned mentioned link

Claiming to be Queensland police / A.McLeod needing evidence for a case.
They're either having a blind guess at the state, or almost 20 year old data set being mined.

Legitimate SMS i was waiting for from the Queensland police to upload additional evidence for a suspicious activity i reported so needed a new link.

Received a text message requesting info for the Tasmanian Police - Definite scam

Received text message from this number, 0447 475 013 claiming to be from a T. Anwyn, requesting evidence for Vic Police. With a link to click on, which I did not do. Or if I had questions to contact Torquay College youth crime???
If you had evidence Vic Pol required I'm sure they would come collect it!
Just delete these texts if you receive them.
