Something to do with an appointment, and asking me to reply Y or N

I had just listed an add on Gumtree. This number texted me about a minute later wanting me to reply to them about the items for sale. They gave me instructions to email only and not phone. This is their email address, so don’t reply to this one either if you get sent it . tonyharrynemeth93 @ gmail.com.
I deleted their message after reading all your comments. Thanks to everyone with their warnings.

It is a legitimate number used by a few legitimate businesses, government agencies, groups; any number can be spoofed ( replicate) by a single person & can also be dne not using a single device so you need too look more into it to find out if u are getting fake scam or real

FYI: i receive some of my cc ( community correction) sms frm this number bout some of my court ordered appointments, i would normally say automated messaging software but normally u can't respond back ( these days you can with y or n ).

This number sent me the same SMS a week apart
saying to please call Marshall Freeman Collections as a matter of urgency with the number “1300 531 916” listed in the text. I googled the agency and their official phone number is different than the one I was told to call

This number appears to be used by a multitude of businesses. For legitimate reasons. I received a text from this number regarding freight for my puppy I brought, they text through this number to confirm flight details. And then today I received a notification that my doctor had sent off for an imaging request which she did at that moment so I think this must be used like a marketing thing?

saying they were replacing my electricity meter modem due to the withdrawal of 3G mobile services across Australia.
Last time I looked, my electricity meter didn't need a modem! SCAM
AGL weren't particularly interested. Reported to PLUS ES

This is a legitimate number. It is the no-reply notification SMS number, not a number that calls you. If you have booked an appt, recieve a notification, or need a verification code it may as well come from this number. So far all the different institutions and websites that have used this number to reach me is because I have booked something, I have requested a verification code, or I recieve a service from them.

Said that I got a loan from loanless and gave me an OTP. Got me to call (07) 4463 9251 to stop the message. Lol why scammers why

Received a text from 0447 237 503 claiming they are Ausura, using my real name, and telling me a claim is under review and to call (02) 4875 9009. 21 comments so far on this site indicating multiple different scams have texted people from that number: medical & vet appointments, collection agency, freight, AGL, Qantas, Event Cinemas, property value consultation, and fraudulent Gumtree ads (well-known classified scams: cars and puppies). I initially thought maybe multiple companies use this number - some kind of SMS appointment system or the like, but it's far more likely to be a scammer-group, who has found our details and is methodically using the data (Name, Number, potential address or at least state) to customize different tactics to scam us. Be vigilant. They have texted me from multiple different numbers this month with the same message.

I orderd goods, and this number told me my order was processsing, gave the correct order number and company name. Seemed right at the time, but I have had another similar number call - after my goods were delivered, saying they were on the way.

I checked into a Qantas flight online. Half hour later received a text giving me my driver details for airport transport From the airport I was flying into no less. Other details were slightly off and I don’t need a chauffeur. Obv a scam.
