It's probably phishing for an active mobile phone numbers.

I received the following sms yesterday and today.
I am blocking the number and won’t be clicking on link or messaging STOP as this would show an active account for further crap:-

The text message did not say who they are or where the apartment is located. How can I opt-out of something I never opted-into. They are now blocked.

Got the same text today 'to Queensland Homeowners. There is a $2847 government rebate available etc. Clearly a scam.

The same as others who said they got a message about a rebate for solar energy, if my postcode falls between 2 numbers (my postcode was in the middle). Includes dodgy link to get their attention. Don't reply with STOP either, the whole point is to rope in potential victims. They used to call daily but after months of blocking they finally stopped, now I get scam SMS's instead. Probably put me on a list and sold me on to these guys. The main concern is they probably have my postcode and that means probably my full address

Caller: Tankk Fish &Chips

It's amazing how I get this so-called Fish & Chips message from Tankk every Monday & Tuesday asking me to order their special deals from this same number that appears to have come from ATO and others. They still manage to get through even though I have blocked them . These scammers are really working overtime.

Received sus text message different occasions. First text says its from Melba regarding payslips-no links etc. a month later another text but the message is about cheap plant deals with a sus link
