"It's PLUS ES on behalf of AGL". SMS was about changing my electricity meter modem over to 4G.
Sounded a bit dodgy to me, but they knew my service provider and my address was in the SMS too. The SMS had a couple of bit.ly links which I safely checked and found they were legit pluses.com.au links.
No requests for me to do anything.
Overall, I think the SMS was legit.

have had messages in the past saying my gas cylinder delivery would be coming the next day but did not pay much attention to it then today I received a text saying my cat was due for vaccination but I know he isnt due for that so I rang the vet and yes they use this sms service to let people know when things are due and apparently they sent a lot of sms's out and some have been wrong, so not a scam

Caller: Sunbury Animal Hospital

Received a text from this number claiming that I have an unpaid bill relating to "treatment" that my beautiful baby boy received from this horrific place that claims to be a site that loves and cars for animals and also claims to heal your unwell or injured animals, and to offer items for sale that benefit your pet's health or life quality. As well as a range of specially foods for pets that have special dietary requirements. None of which is believable, just like the useless, or the blatantly incorrect and misinformed hearsay that sprays out the mouths of those that are employed at this place.. I have no idea what they could be possible trying to claim payments for from me, as I have not even been offered, let alone actually received any actual "treatments" from this puppy prison!!

This number used to pose as a Gumtree Buyer. Is a scam. Wanted my email address for some reason. Reply to my sms return to them resulted in them using another mobile number which is cloned from a Medical Service in my area. Reasonably tech savvy wide boys. Beware.

Caller: PLUS ES, 'on behalf of Red Energy'

Dodgy scammer. I haven't requested any metering works & my electricity was recently disconnected (after the first big flood in northern NSW).

A message from PLUS ES on behalf of Red Energy Pty Ltd confirming we have received your request for electricity metering works (reference 400100979418). PLUS ES will contact you to confirm the appointment details.

Texted to ask confirmation for a vet appointment, and to text Y back or call a number (which is actually the legit number of the business being targeted). Looks convincing but Gunnedah Vets is on the other side of the country to me. Scam most likely.
