Caller: At 11:06 AM Tue 08 Nov 22 - Text message allegedly from Westpac

Correctly showed last 4 numbers of my Westpac credit card advising minimum payment of $10 due 14 Nov 2022 (date underscored - possible link). If Card Autopay set up payment will be debited. I don't have that facility.
And have never had a Westpac SMS payment reminder.
Defintely a scam encouraging me to click on date.

Their text message said: "Linkt: You have an toll notice on 06/01/2023 which has been unpaid over 30 days. https://etag.ink/3RNBXnj" No way was I going to click on this link. The fact they said 'you have AN toll notice' shows me they don't have English as their first language.

Message advising my credit card is due for payment. this is a normal reminder when credit card is due. I have no problem with it as I get one each month

Scam. Claiming to be Westpac and advising my credit card will be debited in 6 days of xxx amount of $$. Phoned Westpac, will watch my account for any weird deductions & Blocked the number

I just got a similar message that said it was related to Westpac credit card payment. The SIM card I am using is a new one, and I do not even know the new SIM card number. PLUS, I do not have a Westpac credit card! I think it is 100% a scam.

Text msg from a disconnected number referencing Westpac Bank.
- correctly identifying the last 4 digits of my Credit Card, minimum amount due this month and by date
- referenced “ if you have card autopay autopay payment will be debited”
- I have not set up card autopay and I have already made to substantial payments this month.
- Either a sophisticated scammer or Westpac has steeped to new lows of annoyance and incompetence.
