Your nbn service may be interrupted for up to 1hr 30mins for network maintenance on 7 May between 7:00am - 7:00 pm. Maintenance day may change but won't happen later than 9 May. The disruption will include calls, if you need to make emergency calls (000), please use your mobile or an alternative option. For updates visit outages.telstra.com. To stop these alerts, reply STOP. It may be Telstra - or maybe some scammer. Technology is beginning to be really annoying.

Caller: Supposedly Telstra via SMS

When I turned my phone back after charging, there was an SMS on my mobile phone from this number, stating one of the usual NBN service will be down for maintenance on a certain day and time. Now, two hours later, before putting in this comment I have had a phone call on my landline, once again supposedly from Telstra regarding problems with my internet. Once you mention the word "scam" the phone gets hung up from the other end. This one, though, she gave me a supposed name and her service? number for Telstra. This number she was calling from was 0976 109389, for your reference.

if it is Telstra then they don't understand that Oz has different time zones otherwise why would they be doing this at 5am?
