Caller: Telstra You waste a lot of time answering all their questions and the chances of winning the $250 gift voucher are next to zero. Best to ignore.

Got a similar message. May be genuine, but if in doubt then delete.Survey for customer service. Online customer service is absolute rubbish. Had a problem back in January. Complained, on line via Telstra App, got no response. Asked them to cancel service. All they did was keep billing me. Complained to the TIO, Telstra ignored that. TIO escalated the complaint and finally Telstra told me I had to go to a Telstra shop. The person there was excellent. Fixed my problem in under half an hour. I waited nearly four months, spent hours with the messaging in the Telstra App, complained to The TIO, had the complaint escalated through the TIO. So for their survey, There is a lot Telstra need to fix with their online customer service, but I will not be holding my breath because they will absolutely do nothing to improve their lack of service.

I got the same message, and I submit a scam report on https://service.telstra.com.au/customer/general/surveys/Report_misuse_of_service then in minutes I got reply from abuse @ telstra.com telling me it's a legitimate message, enclosed as follows: ===== Hi,
Thank you for writing about this.
The message you received was a legitimate message from Telstra — it was not a scam.
You’re right to be suspicious, however, as there are a great many scams out there which may attempt to emulate the sorts of messages we send.
In this instance, the message you received was authentic and sent from Telstra.
Telstra has a relationship with Lewers in marketing surveys, and you were likely selected to participate in a survey.
With kind regards,
