Scam. Received text message that used my first name and wrote that they'd forgotten to send me something and attached a link. Called number back (after setting my number to private) and it went straight to some bogan's voicemail. Not someone I would know - I blocked their number and deleted the text message.

I didn't recognise the number, it wasn't in my contacts, and I'd had a similar message a few days earlier, using my first name and apologising for not sending an attachment sooner. I'd googled the earlier number and got a screen full of Chinese text. I deleted it straight away ... I did the same with this one. Don't these idiots have anything better to do ????

Got 2 messages with a link attached that said i forgot to send you this. Complete scam.

Complete scam. Redirects you to a web link about ordinary aussies getting massive payouts. Has happened twice from different mobile numbers, but was preceded a couple of days earlier from someone asking for my husband (on my number) and saying they were from an 'education centre'.
