Got a text msg saying "sorry [my first name] i forgot to send this to you" with a link. I deleted it and blocked the person (i have an iphone). Definitly a scam.

Received a text message saying

"I'm sorry [my first name], I missed sending this out to you: (a website link)"

Doesn't identify themselves so most likely a scam or a virus. Pretty worrying that they somehow got my first name.

I didn't respond to the SMS and deleted it 5/8/2020

It was a text message saying something like - "sorry, this was supposed to be ready for you earlier" and it had an attachement of some kind for me to open up. Needless to say as I have nothing on order anywhere, I deleted the messsage without opening the attachment. It would have been a scam... I wrote down the number before deleting the message and rang it. It rang out 3 times then shut down. Be careful people. This could put a virus in your phone or do something worse, like steal your info and identity.
