Strongly suspect this is a scam. Wrongly named state govt dept., who would normally use a debt recovery service who would name themselves in the message.

Got a message saying to call a 1300 number to resolve an issue in my name

Caller: Recoviescorp / ABORKNOT

This is a complete scam. Prompts are with an Aussie recorded voice then I was transferred to somewhere overseas. The foreign voice that answered started with the normal “Hi this is being recorded for quality and training purposes”. I followed by saying “I’m recording this too”- the moron said “I don’t authorise you to record me” I started laughing, ignored that and continued by calling him a “no good scamming nob, I got a text from you saying call a 1300 number and it provided a ref number. He said yes you need to provide your name, address, date of birth and drivers licence number without recording me…” I told him he needs to go back to scam school and hung up on him.

Multiple messages regarding a $497 debt which I'm %100sure I don't or never have had with ABORKNOT from RECOVERIES CORP. ABSOLUTE SCAM. I rang n tried to get information knowing it's dogsh*t ,told them I'm recording conversation n was told I'm not allowed to. Gave name as "TOM " AND HAD A VERY INDIAN OR WHATEVER Accent. DONT KNOW MANY INDIAN TOM'S .

Claiming to be from MasonBlack Mendelson claiming I have to fix ABORKNOT matter looked it up it's got to do with fishing they sent me a link which I did not click on

Have called me multiple times saying on behalf of Origin asking me to confirm all my details. then they said they would send a message which came from this mobile with Bpay and reference number to make payment too. I am not even with Origin Energy for anything - definetly a scam

These guys have been messaging me for years on different numbers. I have always ignored them. I would have received between 10 to 20 messages in total. I believe it is a scam and continue to ignore them.

Beware. Guy called from private number and claimed he was calling from CBA regarding an urgent matter he needs to discuss. This has happened before and I asked if he can send an SMS through from CBA and it came through as a company called recoveriescorp. Changed his story later to say he was calling on behalf of CBA as recoveriescorp. -_-

I had this number text me today with a link saying I had a debt to pay.

I didn't click the link and searched the number and hope everyone else does the same

This is the third text I have received from this company from three different numbers, each of which I have blocked. "Take control of your debt" followed by a website which I did not access.
