Caller: This is/was my number and it has been used by scammers. Please read. My mobile number was spoofed by international scammers 13 June 2019 as revenge for me blocking their calls and your number could be next. Due to a technical loophole, anyone's number can be used as a scammers Call ID to disguise their actual call number. If you were home they tried to scam you, if you weren't home, MY number was left as a missed call. Sorry to the hundreds of people that were tricked into calling or messaging my number. I've had to cancel it and get a new one and I now have to manually update every friend, customer, business, government department etc. Over 250 amendments. This could happen to you and there's nothing we can do about it.

Caller: Indian scamer She started telling me my Internet will be cutoff tomorrow. I asked why? Then she went on to explain how when I browse web sites they are getting errors....... blah... blah. I was driving all by myself in my car at the time of the call, so had privacy. As soon as she started uttering the "browsing error" nonsense, I knew it's a scam call and started responding to her in filth... until the idiot hung up.

Caller: Energy An Indian voice was asking my electricity bill details, I did not give. They said that they will find a cheaper electricity supplier. I refused to provide my billing details as this can be made used by scammers.

Caller: Some flog Yep I got this one today. Call back says that the number cannot be reached.
I’m on the do not call register so I was expecting not to get these calls.
Sadly Jan is right - any call can be made from anywhere showing any caller ID that the calling party wishes to use.

Great! Now we can't even answer our phones for business anymore in this age of tech cowboys and hopeless local enforcement. When will Australia get it? We need more security in all these systems before it's too late. Too busy running around fixing the NBN.

The number was calling and as soon as I answered, it hung up. I went to call back but it said that the phone was switched off or the number was disconnected

I just had a call, and it went to voicemail. I listened, all I could hear was people talking in the background.

That's very unfortunate, I'll definitely be more careful and will change my voice message recording, as I have put in a rude message to scammers to get f**ked
