Caller: Text message claiming to be from Guide Dogs

Message, with my name included, claiming to be from "Guide Dogs" and a link claiming to be for a video message. Either a scam or unsolicity charity. Either way I'm not clicking.

4 unsolicited messages, still sent message after was told not to contact again.

I contacted Guide Dogs directly to check if this was legitimate, and was indeed very surprised to see that they confirmed "the SMS from Kelsey is from our organisation and is an effort to raise awareness for the important work we do." I left feedback that I found this spammy and irresponsible given the current data breaches (as well as no opt-out indicated).

I got a message on this number from someone called Kelsey from Guide Dogs. She wanted me to open a link to see a video on how they operate. Soon after another message was sent to say I would be receiving a survey via SMS. Finally I was thanked in advance and told that "she" would keep in touch. I BLOCKED THE NUMBER!!

They obviously are still going..i just got 3 text messages from this number saying its Guide dogs Australia with a link to a website.
Definitely not any thing that looks like Guide Dogs Australia's real websites.
I've blocked them now

Message sent to my phone but using my wife’s name
Persistent messages over the course of a few days
Suspect a scam

Spam: ‘Thank you so much 🐶 ❤️‘ -= delete. Number now blocked.

Another call supposedly from ‘Kelsey’ - Guide Dogs.
Such a shame because so many people will not open any text / respond to any call which hints of being a scam - so Guide Dogs should stop ‘Kelsey’!! As it just goes to spam junk!!

Caller: They had a recorded voice saying it was the Chinese embassy! Are the Russians coming next ?

We've had guide dogs too but now they said " Chinese Embassy" when we asked who's calling. STOP PESTERING US AND GET OFF OUR PHONE, that's our message. Thx !

Ignored several SMS.

Could be a scam but even if not sending unsolicited smses frequently is still very unprofessional.

Blocked the number - probably a scam

The questions are irrelevant. They could get this data easily from other sources. It’s part of the scam to get you to engage.

Also received messages from 'Kelsey' as if they know me. Blocked the number

6 calls from Kelsey over a week. Didn’t respond to any but they just kept coming. Finally wanted me to answer with numbers, 1 for yes, 2 for no. Obviously deleted and now blocked.

Another for the "Fiona" from Guide dogs via SMS, wanting me to watch a video via a link and promising to arrange an SMS survey in a couple of days because "people like you help shape our plans for the future".

Really? I don't have any links with the Guide dogs and also, if you're going to solicit me for charity purposes, call and leave a message. BLOCKED

Caller: Someone called Kelsey from Guide dogs Australia. SMS

Received 3 successive SMS messages. First with a link and knowing my first name and introducing themselves as Kelsey like they were my friend.
Second soon after thanking me and letting me know they are running a survey later in the week wanting my input. 3rd message 1/2 hr later thanking me with emoji images and saying they will be in touch. Feel like this is a long term grooming scam for something that has nothing to do with the Guide dogs. Going to block them.
