Caller: AAMI Unfortunately, even though I didn't want this to be Aami, it is. I know it is actually them because my insurance payment was indeed overdue. The info they had was correct. It was sent as a text message. As usual, I took the proper precautions and didn't use the link on the text but signed into my Aami account. Details were correct and I paid the overdue amount securely from my account. Unfortunately we can't always blame our budgeting problems on spam :-(

SCAM text - Hi, we tried to debit $126.22 for your AAMI CAR policy but were unsuccessful. To ensure your cover remains active, reply YES by 23/01/2024 and we'll try again within 2 days. Any reply apart from YES won't be recognised. Thanks, AAMI.

Caller: AAMI AAMI messaged because my account declined for my car insurance payment. After transferring enough money into my account and letting the payment go through I got a confirmation message. They included my policy number and amount owed which were all correct.

Caller: AAMI Not scam. There were no click-throughs so they've altered their message:
Hi, we tried to debit $65.57 for your CAR policy but were unsuccessful. To stay covered, please update your payment details via your AAMI online account. Do not reply. Thanks, AAMI.
